T-Shirt Design of the Day - Tuesday
This one is based off of one of the old postcards we have laying around. It's a little rough, but this would be the general idea.

This would be a good design for the back of a shirt with the department emblem on the front. How hard would this be to screen print though with all the fine details?
I like it, especially with Matt B.'s suggestion, but I think you should change the lettering to make it different from the last short and make sure that univ of north dakota is on it somewhere.
I agree with the font change. Where should we put "University of North Dakota?" We could make things a lot smaller, or we could put it under the logo on the shirt pocket I suppose.
I say no on all of them. The one with Leonard is just plain ugly. And the front/back design... well, obviously UND should be present in some form but the GGE logo needs to be updated to the 21st century. Besides, what makes the front/back design any different from last year? Why should I buy a new one?
The GGE logo is not ours to alter, I doubt the department (or alumni) would be impressed if we had the audacity to change a 60-70 year old logo without their input. We also cannot put UND on the shirts (although we can spell out Univ. of North Dakota) because we would have to pay the school, which defeats the purpose of a fundraiser. I agree the picture of Leonard is not terribly attractive, and would probably be expensive to screen print; however, it could be done, I have screenprinted shirts with as much detail. By the way, suggestions as well as criticisms are welcome for the designs.
Sigma Gamma Epsilon is a national geoscience honor society. Beta Zeta chapter is made up of a combination of undergraduate and graduate students at the University of North Dakota. Although most of our members are in the Department of Geology and Geological Engineering, the organization is open to any student who meets minimum coursework (not limited to geology courses) and academic record requirements and has an interest in the geosciences.
